The quiet revolution of real-world asset tokenization has become crypto's stealth bull market. Total value locked across RWA protocols ballooned to $12.83 billion in June, marking a 65% surge since January according to DeFiLlama data. Traditional finance giants and crypto-native projects are now racing to digitize everything from Treasury bonds to private credit.

BlackRock's BUIDL fund dominates with $2.83 billion across six chains, while Ethena and Ondo Finance follow with $1.46 billion and $1.39 billion respectively. Franklin Templeton's $753.8 million on-chain money market fund demonstrates Wall Street's growing blockchain embrace. "We're seeing the early innings of institutional capital discovering blockchain efficiency," notes an industry analyst.

Gold tokenization remains strong through Paxos and Tether products, while platforms like Centrifuge and Maple Finance pioneer decentralized private credit markets. The sector's growth trajectory suggests tokenization may soon become standard practice rather than niche experimentation.
